Snowboarders at Pyhä Ski Resort

A fell full of joy for everyone

Social Responsibility

At Pyhä, social responsibility is reflected in everyday respect for people and the local community. For us, it means promoting the well-being, safety, and equality of both our staff and our customers.

From Individuals to Community

The well-being and safety of our personnel form the foundation of our operations. We are a member of the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility network and are committed to adhering to its ten principles, including human rights and equality.

We continuously develop our leadership, skills, and workplace practices, with the goal of being a respected and caring employer. All our employees are covered by collective agreements, receive at least the agreed minimum salary, and benefit from a range of employment benefits. We offer opportunities for professional development and career growth. The majority of our employees are local residents.

Joy of Movement and Equality

The joy of movement and supporting well-being are among our key objectives. We promote physical activity among children and youth by offering free lift tickets for children under 6. Since the 2019–2020 season, we have provided free season passes for 10-year-old children in nearby areas. During the anniversary season 2024–2025, free season passes were offered to all children in Finland born in 2014. Through sponsorships and scholarships, we support young athletes and strengthen the local sports culture, services, and year-round vitality.

A Safe and Inclusive Fell Experience for All

Customer responsibility is primarily about providing a safe and high-quality ski resort experience. We systematically monitor customer safety and satisfaction and continuously improve our operations based on feedback. Safety work is part of our daily operations, and we actively invest in skilled ski patrol services to ensure slope safety. Our goal is fewer than one accident per 1,000 skier days.

Ethical responsibility for us means respecting others, maintaining transparency in our operations, and valuing local culture. We do not accept racism, discrimination, or any other inappropriate behavior in any form. We also consider accessibility and strive to make our skiing, accommodation, and event services as accessible as possible for everyone.

Zero Tolerance

  • All forms of inappropriate behavior are strictly prohibited at Pyhä. Slope staff have the right to deny lift access to any customer who violates slope rules or otherwise causes disturbance.

  • If you encounter offensive language, bullying, harassment, or racism, please inform staff so they can intervene in the situation.

  • You can also help as a bystander by asking what is happening and guiding the parties apart. If necessary, seek help from another adult or contact slope staff.
